Hello, my name is Kenneth and I am an international student at Elite Preparatory Academy in Hopatcong, New Jersey, originally from Shanghai China. Start when I was about six years old I was already deeply passionate about technology, programming and innovation, like how does the television depict such gorgeous colors, and why do the refrigerators always stays cool, etc.

Most of my primary and secondary school life I immersed myself into the deep ocean of books and films, I totally have no idea why ten-years-old Kenneth enjoy reading books like Harry Potter and Three Body, or even watch 007, Mission: Impossible, Venom or A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001). But these were all marvelous movies/series which I strongly recommended all you guys to watch!!

However, there was a side effect to appreciating these profound works so early: it became incredibly difficult—sometimes seemingly impossible—to find someone in my age group who shared the same appetite or understood the same wavelength… :(

But perhaps that solitude wasn’t entirely a bad thing. It gave me the quiet space to think deeper, to build my own “universe” through code and design, and to eagerly anticipate the day I finally meet those who are the same in the important ways!

During middle school and early high school, my childhood curiosity evolved into a hands-on obsession with engineering and coding. I became the Founder and Captain of our school’s VEX Robotics team. To me, robotics isn’t just about winning competitions; it’s about the pure thrill of being a “Maker.” There is a very specific joy in staying up late in the lab, rewriting flawed autonomous code from scratch, and watching a machine come to life exactly the way you designed it.
